cultural synergy

cultural synergy
Gen Mgt
the harmonization of the direction and operation of separate organizations into a whole. Whether cultural synergy can be achieved lies in the degree to which there is congruence of vision, mission, values, strategy, and operational processes in the different organizations. The lack of cultural and strategic fit is the main cause of failure of mergers, sometimes because of the major partner imposing its own corporate culture, rather than developing a shared culture. Cultural integration, therefore, needs to be carefully analyzed, planned, and implemented.
